The 2024 grant cycle is now closed. Applicants will be notified in June if their grant is awarded. Thank you.
Excellence in Education funds over $250,000 in classroom grants, resources, and partnerships to benefit students and teachers annually within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. The grant-giving program is supported by the Foundation’s annual fundraising efforts that include Dining for Schools, Golfing for Schools, Skiing for Schools, Endowment Fund interest, as well as by corporate and individual donations.
Grant monies support programs that are specifically designed to promote student interest in learning, to give students hands-on learning experiences, and to encourage quality academic performance.
"I have been teaching since 2006, and in that time, I've never seen a foundation support teachers as much as I have with Excellence in Education. It really is remarkable to have a partner in education like that." -- Jason Flesock, a teacher at North Tahoe High School
