There are few things that the PE department cannot afford. I would love to supplement my program with things that are more than just basic sports. Cup stacking can work on Hand-Eye coordination in a non-threatening way. This can help those who are self conscience about their abilities, enjoy PE more. Balance boards are a great way to work on core strength in a silly, upbeat manner. Badminton is taught to help give students some skills to take into the spring and summer to play with their families.
All students will have the opportunity to participate in activities with all of the equipment.
Some of this equipment will go towards enhancing hand-eye coordination and others will improve balance and focus skills. The success of this program will be the improvement throughout the years and the enjoyment students get from the use of equipment.
The equipment will be bought and used as soon as possible. A unit will be created so the students can learn the finer points to cup stacking. The balance boards and badminton rackets are to add to the PE year already developed.
All students TK-5 will learn how to use the equipment during PE class.
PE does have some measure AA funding, but not enough to get these items and the normal items that need to be bought yearly.
