Description

STEAM is one of the weekly enrichment offerings for all TLE students.  While core science is taught in grade level classrooms, enrichment in STEAM is the opportunity for all grade levels to extend their learning with hands-on activities.  We are looking to expand our hands-on offerings for next year.

Benefits of Program

All students have weekly STEAM enrichment to extent their grade level learning.  It is our goal to have STEAM enrichment be hands on to promote high levels of engagement for all students to enhance their science learning.  We know that students have deeper understanding from doing, so we are looking to promote more active learning and the joy of discovery.  Experimentation in STEAM supports critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Success of Program

The success of the program will be measured in high levels of student engagement and product outcomes.

Implementation

Hands-on science resources will be used weekly for all grade levels to extend grade-level science learning.
