Description
As a science school, Tahoe Lake has committed to providing a hands-on science-focused education, with an emphasis on Lake Tahoe's natural environment. The Kindergarten team lays the foundation for future science learning and development of critical thinking skills across the content areas.
Success of Program
Students mastery of the science standards are measured by common assessments created by the Kindergarten PLC. Results from the common assessments will be shared in PLC meetings on a regular basis and used to inform instruction.
Implementation
Science instruction happens on a daily basis, with particular emphasis placed on weekly hands-on science instruction.
Can you share this grant with your grade level or subject team?
All grant materials will be used by the three grade level teachers in the Kindergarten PLC. The curriculum will support attainment of our school and grade level academic goals.
