Hands on Math manipulatives that bring the Grade 8 Mathematics Standards to life! This is an expansion of an existing set of materials that are favorites in the grade 8 math classroom.

These materials will be used in all grade 8 math classrooms and can be shared across grade levels as well. The materials are used consistently throughout the year as we follow the spirling CPM curriculum. Here are some examples in each Grade 8 Mathematics Domain. 8.NS Number System: Students use the magnetic tiles to build a set of visual Perfect Squares. 8.EE Expressions and Equations & 8.F Functions: Students use the magnetic tiles to design and model patterns of linear growth. 8.G Geometry: Students use the kinetic sand and modeling dough with the 3-D Geometry models while deriving formulas for 3-Dimensional shapes. Students will construct geometric models on the large dry erase board with the wood compass set. 8.SP Statistics & Probability: Students use the magnetic tiles to model associations between bivariate data on the dry erase board.
