This grant aims to provide specialized art and communication devices tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. By acquiring adapted tools and technologies, we strive to enhance accessibility and foster creativity among our students, empowering them to express themselves effectively and participate fully in artistic and communicative activities. This grant will fund the purchases of a light box, adapted art kit and adapted switches for communication and independence.
The grant will ensure students with special needs have access to adapted art and communication devices specifically designed to meet their individual needs. By providing specialized tools, the grant promotes an inclusive learning environment where all students can actively engage in artistic and communicative activities alongside their peers, regardless of their abilities. By integrating adapted tools into the curriculum, the grant supports the long-term skill development of students with special needs, equipping them with valuable tools for self-expression and communication that they will continue to utilize beyond their school years. The tools purchased through this grant raise awareness within the school community about the diverse needs and capabilities of students with special needs, fostering empathy, understanding, and acceptance among students, educators, and families alike.
The success of the grant will be defined through several vital indicators: Improved participation, enhanced communication, and feedback from students, educators, and families.
Bendles will be implemented throughout the day in multiple environments.
All three bundles can be shared with other students with special needs across all ages.
