Sustainability
The impact of this grant will be sustained through the continued use of the outdoor reflection space created during the project, which will remain a lasting resource for students and teachers on campus. While some classroom materials used in the hands-on activities may need to be replenished in future years, the lessons, project structure, and instructional materials can be easily repeated with new classes. If additional materials are needed, they can be supported through existing school wellness funds, curriculum budgets, or future school and community grant opportunities. Because the project materials are relatively low-cost and widely available, maintaining and repeating the program will be manageable with normal school funding. The goal is for this project to become a sustainable learning experience that can continue to benefit students over time.
