Anatomage recently created a Tablet version of their life size Anatomy Table. The Anatomage Tablet 2.0 gives students access to two real human cadavers (1 male and 1 female) in a three dimensional format. They can be dissected in any manner, observed in very thin layers from right to left or anterior to posterior, rotated for different views, and used for measurements and data clipping. The 11 major body systems can be isolated and studied and structures within the systems can be highlighted or zoomed in. Students can also use the structure pronunciation tool to help them with terminology.
In addition to the cadavers, the Tablet 2.0 gives students access 71 different three dimensional anatomy videos as well as 300 real patient CT/MRI scans of both normal anatomy and pathology/unique diseases for diagnostic and clinical exposure. The tablets come with assessment tools, self guided activities, and access to Anatomage Share where Anatomage users can share activities and resources. The interactive tools allow students to isolate not only body systems but individual organs, or parts of those organs for up close study. They can look at more than 2600 individual body parts. The images that are on the Tablet are not basic animations but digitized renderings of real humans who donated their bodies to medical education. The quality retains the original state in color, size, and texture of living bodies.
